ROLY LUMM, manager of the Tesco store in Henley, is keen for the business to be involved with the community.
The store, which employs 228 staff, already supports AFC Henley, Henley Town Football Club, Shiplake Primary School’s Farm to Fork educational project and the Nomad food bank.
But the manager would like to do even more, according to town clerk Mike Kennedy.
Mr Kennedy told town councillors that Mr Lumm had told him he would have sent staff to help out at last month’s Hit Litter event had he known about it.
He continued: “He wants to get more involved with the hanging baskets in the town and also with Christmas events and he genuinely wants to know what’s happening in Henley, particularly with road closures so he can programme vehicles to deliver food to residents.”
