HENLEY councillor Ian Reissmann has been poking fun at a political rival’s attendance record.
At the town council’s most recent meeting, the Henley Residents’ Group member couldn’t help himself when Conservative district councillor Will Hall sounded a warning about fraudsters.
Cllr Hall said residents should be reminded to ask for identification when visited by cold callers.
Cllr Reissmann joked: “It has been some time since we last saw Councillor Hall at one of our meetings — perhaps we ought to be asking him for ID?”
Cllr Hall responded: “I have had a number of clashes with meetings at the district council but can always be contacted by email. I have a very good attendance record so can assure you that my Henley South ward is well represented.”
