TALK about a busman’s holiday…. Sarah Roberts and her daughter Millie were on a New Year break in south Devon last week when they spotted something familiar.
Miss Roberts is the woman behind the Millie’s Dream appeal to raise £15,000 for 10 defibrillators at primary schools in the Henley area — inspired by her seven-year-old daughter, who has a heart and lung condition.
The pair smashed their target in only three months and are now campaigning to have the life-saving devices installed in rural villages.
So Miss Roberts couldn’t resist taking this snap of Millie with a defibrillator they came across last week at the village hall in Thurlestone, near Salcombe.
She says: “There are more and more villages doing this but not enough. An automated external defibrillator is a must for all rural villages.
