A HENLEY boat broker has named one of its ships after detective drama Midsomer Murders.
The Midsomer Maiden, a 12-seater skippered charter, is the newest addition to the fleet at Henley Sales and Charter (HSC), based in Friday Street.
Director Gillian Nahum thought it would be a fitting choice in honour of one of her team, charter manager Daisy Smith, who has starred in the show several times as an extra.
The boat broker recently ran a competition through its newsletter to choose a name for the vessel and the ITV murder mystery programme was a popular theme.
Mrs Smith, 28, who lives in Reading and grew up in Ancastle Green in Henley, said: “We ran a competition to name the boat in our newsletter and we received some great ideas.
