STAFF at Henley watchmakers Bremont sport an interesting choice of workplace footwear.
Everyone who works at the company’s headquarters in Marlow Road wears slippers in the office, while visitors are asked to either remove their shoes or wear plastic bags round their feet when entering the building.
The practice is designed to prevent dust and dirt getting inside the workshops.
Marketing executive Sophie Laurie says: “It needs to be as clean as possible inside the building, so we all change our footwear to make sure we don’t bring in any dirt.”
Henley Hawks chairman Mike Trethewey was not excused from the rules when he visited the workshop on Friday to see player of the year Ryan Newman pick up a free watch from Bremont, which sponsors the club.
