LAST month, I reported on an initiative known as The Lonely Bouquet in which florists leave flowers somewere for one lucky person to pick up and take home.
It has the slogan “Spreading flowers, one flower at a time” and the idea is to cheer people up.
Well, it certainly worked with Lorraine Hillier when she found a bouquet at her Friday Street coffee house Hot Gossip on Saturday.
The yellow and blue bouquet of gerbera, delphinium, chrysanthemums, carnations and veronica had been left in her courtyard by Bluebells of Henley, the Reading Road florist which is taking part in the scheme.
Lorraine did as the note left with the flowers suggested and visited The Lonely Bouquet website to post her find. She wrote: “This is a really beautiful bouquet. It is in our window for all to admire. Thank you.”
