YOU could be forgiven for thinking that the Henley Hawks had changed their colours looking at this group of supporters at their match at Dry Leas on Saturday.
In fact, the fans were taking part in Red Trouser Day in support of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which helps fund the London hospital’s research into bowel cancer.
There were red T-shirts and hats on sale and a bucket collection for the charity while anyone who bought a match ticket and wore red trousers was entitled to a free pint of Loddon beer.
Unfortunately, the action on the pitch was not so successful as the Hawks went down 20-30 to Old Elthamians.
