Winter on the way

THERE was quite a contrast between the weather in the Henley area in October and in November.

The former was mild with temperatures ranging from zero to 19c and a mean of 10c.

A modest 26mm of rain fell during the month.

November’s mean temperature was 5.7c with the lowest reading of -8.6c on the 30th, although in Benson it reached -10c. There were 10 frosts.

There was a total of 98mm of rain in the month.

It’s all a guarantee that winter is on its way.

As always, my thanks to Denis Gilbert, from Shiplake, for the statistics.
