Academically rigorous curriculum is firmly focused on the individual

LEIGHTON Park School in Reading offers a distinctive educational environment focusing on the individual.

LEIGHTON Park School in Reading offers a distinctive educational environment focusing on the individual.

Our students are inspired to become creative, active, independent learners, which not only supports their academic achievement but equips them for their future lives.

Our core values of respect, integrity, simplicity, equality, peace, truth and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do and permeate every aspect of school life.

From ages 11 to 18, students benefit from an academically rigorous and innovative curriculum where they are encouraged to think independently, creatively and critically.

Students have access to a broad curriculum and subject options at GCSE and in the sixth form, where they can choose between A-levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme.

The sciences, mathematics, and the creative arts, including music and art, are particular strengths of the school.

Our positive approach to life and education provides us with the energy and enthusiasm to look for the good in each  individual, and prepare well-rounded and confident students with the wide variety of skills and experience so valued by  universities and employers.

Through their academic endeavour, extra-curricular activities, sport participation, charity work and event organisation, our students become self-motivated and fully equipped with the skills they will need to succeed in their future studies and careers.

Flexibility in the length of the school day, with options between 7.30am and 9pm for day pupils, and the provision of over 10 school transport routes, including Henley, Shiplake and Sonning, are designed to support parents with busy lives.

Full, weekly, flexi-boarders and day students all benefit from the vast range of extra-curricular activities, excellent boarding and catering facilities and supervised prep, helping families achieve that important balance between life at school and home.

Set in 60 acres of beautiful parkland within walking distance of Reading town centre, Leighton Park is home to a vibrant learning community, where students have time and space to live, learn and grow.

If you would like to find out more, our students would be delighted to show you around their school. Details of regular open mornings and taster days can be found at www.leighton or by calling our admissions team on 0118 987 9608.
