THE Oratory School welcomes children not only from the Oratory Prep School but from many schools around the country and further afield.
Set in stunning countryside, close to major transportation links, it offers a unique, all-round day and boarding education for boys from 11 to 18 years of age.
The school is proud of its Catholic ethos and inspirational teaching by highly qualified staff, stretching and challenging each boy in and beyond the classroom.
Pupils attain strong academic results in public examinations and move on to some of the best universities in the UK and elsewhere, well prepared for the business world ahead.
Equally important are the leadership skills taught through the school’s extensive extracurricular programme, including the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, adventure training and the Combined Cadet Force. All boys are able to enjoy an “outstanding” provision for sport, with a new multi-million-pound sports centre.
There is also a superb boathouse on the River Thames, a nine-hole golf course and an indoor shooting range. As a result, an impressive number of boys compete at county and national levels across all sports.
The arts continue to excel, with the art and design department repeatedly winning top national awards.
The Schola perform at Windsor Chapel, engage in overseas tours and together with the jazz band and strings’ groups, perform at termly concerts.
Drama produces three big plays yearly, giving every child a chance to perform.
There is something for everyone and many opportunities for those willing to grasp them.
Personal show-rounds are arranged on a daily basis. Taster days take place several times a year.
If you would like to register your son for one of these days or arrange for a personal visit, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
“The excellent curriculum provides a range of choice which is suitable for all pupils, including those in the sixth form, enabling each to develop his own talents,” was the verdict of the Independent Schools Inspectorate report 2014.
