Boosting children's confidence and secondary school options

Boosting children's confidence and secondary school options

AS one of the leading
co-educational day schools in the country, Crosfields educates girls and boys together between the ages of three and 13.

Astonishing changes occur between these ages as the children develop the foundations, the interests and the passions which stay with them throughout their lives.

The girls and boys are educated thoroughly, they are educated imaginatively and they are educated broadly.

Set in 40 beautiful acres, close to junction 11 of the M4, a vast range of diverse opportunities exists at the school.

Over the years we have taken many children into year seven from primary schools and prep schools for a two-year period.

We have had tremendous success in boosting children’s confidence and secondary school options so that they reach their next school more able to take on the challenges of a bigger and more demanding environment. At Crosfields a child in year seven and eight will go into a class of no more than 15, will be in even smaller sets for English and maths, will have extensive opportunities to play in sports teams, school plays, music collaborations and drama productions and have an after-school activity programme of more than 90 clubs and a leadership scheme aimed only at years seven and eight.

We run a daily bus service from and to Henley.

Our year six scholarship assessment day will take place in March and offers children the opportunity to visit Crosfields and be assessed in a range of subjects — including academic, the arts and sport.

Do consider Crosfields if your child has missed out on a grammar school place or if they have a particular strength in one or more subjects.
