School welcomes its first headmaster in its 83-year history

CRANFORD House, a thriving independent day school for girls aged two to 16 and boys aged two to seven, is proud to welcome new headmaster, Dr James Raymond.

Dr Raymond takes a very important place in the school’s history, being the first ever headmaster in Cranford’s 83-year existence. He joins the school from Sheffield High School, part of the Girls’ Day School Trust network, and brings a wealth of educational knowledge and a commitment to ensuring each pupil achieves their full potential.

This commitment to the individual pupil lies at the heart of a Cranford House education. Established in Moulsford in 1931 and set in more than 14 acres of rural tranquillity, the school is proud to uphold traditional values and a caring ethos whilst providing a vibrant, modern education for its 400 pupils.

By embracing the values of happiness, confidence, challenge and motivation, Cranford House pupils have the perfect platform to aspire to achieve across all areas of the curriculum.

The key school value of generosity of spirit is perhaps the one that distinguishes Cranford pupils as they understand the importance of respect and tolerance for themselves and the community they live in.
