Pupils come out on top in schools maths challenge.
CHILDREN from Sonning Common put their numerical skills to the test at a schools maths challenge.
The four 10-year-olds from the village primary school took part in the event at Wellington College together with pupils from about 40 other schools from around the South-East.
The quartet was divided into two teams — the Nonagons, made up of Edward Handley, from Sonning Common, and Jacob Hathaway, from Caversham, and the Hexagons, with Ethan Spiers, from Sonning Common, and Emma Dixon, from Caversham. They are all in year five at the school.
The Nonagons were awarded first place in their group with a score of 132 points.
