YOUNGSTERS at Rupert House School in Henley donned orange wigs to help a classmate raise awareness of allergies.
The day was the brainchild of six-year-old Lilian Graham, who is allergic to nuts, sesame, dairy and eggs, and wanted to raise money for the Anaphylaxis Campaign. Year 1 pupils took part in Orange Wig Day last week.
Lilian said: I just wanted to do it and I set up a website and we bought the orange wigs. Its been fun my friends like wearing the orange wigs.
Mum Clare, of Northfield End, Henley, added: Rupert House School have been very supportive with Lilians allergies. I guess for us it became a way of life. But people are dying from this and I dont think people understand the significance of allergies.
Teacher Libby Burrows added: Its a really worthwhile cause Lilian has taken charge of it and has already raised more than £600.
