Early years classes awarded ‘outstanding’

THE Manor is delighted to share the findings of the latest Independent Schools Inspectorate report (June 2014) for Early Years Foundation Stage (pre-nursery, nursery and reception).

The setting was awarded the highest grade of “outstanding” in all the four areas judged by ISI, namely how well the early years provision meets the needs of the range of children who attend, the contribution of the early years provision to children’s wellbeing, the leadership and management of the early years provision and the overall quality and standards of the early years provision.

Highlights within the report include — “The setting makes outstanding provision in meeting the children’s diverse needs” and “the setting meets its aims to cherish each child and to enthuse a love of learning”.

The inspectors observed that the boys and girls at the Manor felt “safe and valued” and that “as children move to new year groups excellent preparation ensures smooth transitions.”

Everyone at the Manor is thrilled to have received such a ringing endorsement of the commitment and dedication of the staff. Headmaster Piers Heyworth said: “We are absolutely delighted with this excellent result. Very many congratulations to Pippa McConnell and her marvellous early years team, as well as all the other teachers and administrative staff involved.”
