The governors have appointed Ben Beardmore-Gray to succeed Mr Higham.

Before taking up his position at Mowden Hall, Mr Beardmore-Gray was deputy headmaster of Farleigh in Hampshire, and taught at Ludgrove in Berkshire.

Moulsford is an all-boys prep school with more than 320 on the roll.

It is situated in 30 acres of grounds on the banks of the River Thames and offers an outstanding academic, musical, sporting and cultural education reinforced by a vast range of extra-curricular activities.

The school has an enviable record of success at 13-plus entry to senior schools, with more than 70 scholarships won in the past five years and all boys were again successful in gaining entry to their first choice school this year.

Boys are normally admitted to the school at the two main points of entry â?? reception at age four-plus and in year three at age seven-plus, although places occasionally arise in other year groups.

Visitors are welcome to enjoy tours of the school and the opportunity to meet staff and pupils at the school open days.
