ST Joseph’s College is a co-educational day school for pupils aged three to 18, based in the centre of Reading.

So why choose St Joseph’s for your son or daughter? What is it that makes us different?

Our pupils’ success is not just measured on a set of exam results, it’s much more than that. We celebrate each pupil as an individual with their own strengths and talents.

They leave the school as confident, mature citizens with a bright future ahead of them, able to tackle life head on with energy and vigour.

And our school is not just a building where lessons take place. It’s a community made up of pupils, staff and parents. There is a feeling of warmth that can’t be manufactured, a welcome that is sincere and natural.

Our vision is to encourage, inspire, challenge and support our pupils to fulfil their potential in a community founded on Christian values.

We want to inspire pupils so that we set alight the intellectual curiosity and creativity in each child, for them to be excited about learning and gain a love of learning.

We want to challenge pupils to develop self-confidence, explore new ideas and discover new skills. We want to support each pupil so that they flourish and grow, to provide a friendly environment where all pupils feel happy and safe and take responsibility for one another.

The size of our school enables each student to be known individually by staff and other pupils and this ensures that there is a real sense of friendliness in the school. St Joseph’s is a Catholic school but we welcome pupils from any religion or no religion and all are treated with the same respect.

The school is based in central Reading, close to the university and hospital. Transport links are excellent and we also offer a school minibus service, which runs through Henley and Caversham, for pupils of any age.

We invite you to come and discover for yourself this happy, vibrant and forward-looking school either by attending our prep open morning or senior open evening on Thursday, October 1, or by visiting us during a normal school day.
