THE Piggott School in Wargrave is among the highest achieving in Berkshire for GCSEs.

Seventy-seven per cent of pupils achieved five or more GCSEs at A* to C grade, including English and maths, last year, according to new league tables.

This was an improvement on the 2014 figure of 72 per cent and considerably higher than the national average of 54 per cent.
