Inspirational teaching stretches each boy

AT the Oratory School, set in a stunning Chilterns estate, we offer a unique education for our boys.

The arrival of the new head master in September has brought fresh impetus and a clear focus on pursuing excellence in all we do.

Inspirational teaching by highly qualified staff, that stretches and challenges each boy in and beyond the classroom, is key to success.

Our boys attain strong results in public examinations and move on to some of the best universities in the UK and elsewhere. Equally important is participation in our extensive extracurricular programme, which includes the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the Combined Cadet Force.

All boys are able to enjoy the “outstanding” provision for sport, including a new multi-million-pound sports centre, and an impressive number of boys compete at county and national levels.

Music, including the schola cantorum, recently returned from a successful New York tour, together with the jazz band and strings groups, is likewise a real strength — as is the drama department and our nationally acclaimed award-winning art and design department.

The latest Independent Schools Inspectorate report said: “The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the pupils is excellent and the school provides excellent pastoral care. The quality of relationships between staff and pupils, and between pupils themselves, is excellent throughout the school.”

If you would like to arrange for a personal tour, enquire about our daily bus network or register to attend our next open morning, please email enquiries@oratory.co.uk
