Climate protest march

A MARCH for action on climate change will pass through Henley.

Dozens of people are expected to take part in the Extinction Rebellion Earth March for Life, which will visit the town on Tuesday, April 9.

The march began in Land’s End earlier this month and will end in London, where protesters will demand immediate and effective action on climate change.

The original march will be joined by other groups from Oxford and Stroud on its way to Henley.

A talk about the protest march will be given at King’s Arms Barn on Monday from 7.30pm.

Residents are also being asked to offer beds, floors or tents to the marchers as well as offering showers and food or other services such as physiotherapy and chiropody.
