Extra trains and buses to get visitors home

GREAT Western Railway will run 94 additional services on the Henley branch line during the regatta.

GREAT Western Railway will run 94 additional services on the Henley branch line during the regatta.

It will provide about 97,000 additional seats over the five-day period. Today (Friday) there will be 14 extra trains, 15,910 seats; Saturday — 28 extra trains, 35,260 seats; Sunday — 24 extra trains, 14,060 seats.

Meanwhile, there will be two bus services travelling to both Reading and High Wycombe this year. Tickets cost £10 per person or £15 for two people travelling together.

Today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday), there is a bus service between Henley station and Reading bus station.

The route incorporates Station Road via A4155 Reading Road, Henley Road, Prospect Street, Church Street, A4074 Caversham Road and Tudor Road.



The first bus will leave at 10.30pm and operate every 20 minutes until 2.30am inclusive.

Tomorrow (Saturday) there is also a bus service leaving from Hart Street, Henley, to High Wycombe station at 12.30am.
