WILL YOUNG drove a mobility scooter covered in neon lights onto the floating stage for his encore as he closed Henley Festival last night (Sunday).
The 37-year-old singer performed a 90-minute set interspersed with some of his new material.
His four-song encore included a cover of David Bowie’s Let’s Dance as well as Evergreen, his Pop Idol winner’s song from 2002.
Young also downed a pint of Brakspear bitter and told the audience about his father’s side of the family being part of the Brakspear brewing family.
When he came on to the Floating Stage Young, and members of the stage team, kicked and threw giant balloons in to the crowd.
He also led a rendition of Happy Birthday to an audience member called Leonie.
