WE would like to enter Philippa Longsocks (Pippin for short), our border collie, into the Top Dog competition.
She is one of the youngest competitors at this year’s Rio Olympics. At just 11 weeks, she is representing Great Britain in no less than four sporting categories.
She is (see pictures above, clockwise from top left) vying for gold in tuggy (or, as she likes to call it, “how far can I drag a human across the lawn?”), doggy pawball, sheep herding, which, as you can see, she has already mastered, and cage fighting, which she is so committed to she trains in her sleep!
Pippin writes: “In the other picture I am just on my way to Heathrow airport to catch my flight to Brazil to represent Great Britain (and, of course, Henley). Wish me luck!
