Dog show entries taken on the day

ENTRIES to the companion dog show will be taken on the showground, next to the fresh

ENTRIES to the companion dog show will be taken on the showground, next to the fresh produce tent, from 11.30am on show day.

Judging will begin at 1pm in both rings. The entry fee is £2 per class or three entries for £5.

Rosettes will be awarded for the first five placed dogs in each class.

The prizes have been donated by the Wetherall family and the dog show manager is James Wetherall.

Pedigree section — ring 1



Classes are as follows:  1. Veteran (7 years +)  2. Brace  3. Puppy (six months to one-year-old)  4. Non-sporting  5. Sporting  6. Open  7. Best child handler (six to 16 years old) Best in show.

Novelty section – ring 2

Classes are as follows:  8. Cutest puppy (six months to one-year-old) 9. Best crossbreed 10. Waggiest tail 11. Best rescue 12. Top dog 13. Prettiest bitch 14. Judge’s choice  Best in show.

Puppies under six months old are not eligible.
