Summer fete raises £1,000 to fund pre-school playground improvements

HUNDREDS of children and parents attended a summer fete at Goring and Cleeve Pre-School.

Mums and dads ran stalls selling second-hand books, games and clothes and there were fairground games like hook-a-duck and a tombola.

Children enjoyed a bouncy castle and had their faces painted.

David Lewis, Chris Murphy and Ian Chick, whose children attend the pre-school, ran a human fruit machine while other parents played live music.

There was also a grand prix in which youngsters raced against each other in foot-powered toy cars.
