THE Pet Barn has applied for planning permission to build a new shop at Manor Farm in Peppard Common.

The plans, submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council, include the construction of a 288 sq m store that will house a “DIY” dog wash, offices, staff facilities and car parking.

The Pet Barn has been in its current location in Blounts Court Road for 15 years and said it has outgrown the space and is entering the last year of its fixed term lease.

It stocks a variety of pet goods including food, washing products, apparel and accessories.

The district council will make a final decision by November 6.
