THERE is still time to book your place at a free tea party for residents aged over 65 in Henley.
The event takes place on Saturday, June 1 to coincide with the Queens 88th birthday.
It will be held at d:two in Henleys Market Place from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
Carolyn Molyneux from Henley business Delegate is organising the event on behalf of the Henley Business Partnership.
She said: The bookings are going well. I think we must have around 40 guests with two weeks to go.
We have sent out a lot of application forms to many organisations so I hope we can reach our target of 100 guests.
The event is open to anyone from Henley and the surrounding areas.
Musical entertainment will include the International Ukes of Hazard and members from the Henley Rock Choir, as well as Henley brownies and guides who will recite poetry and sing.
Food will be provided by Waitrose and the Henley Chocolate Café.
Paul Westgarth from Home Instead, one of the sponsors of the event, said: We recognise that it can be difficult to get out and about to meet people so we want to offer the senior citizens of Henley and the surrounding villages a chance to meet for a celebration tea party to recognise the 88th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen.
