Peers and wine buff join literary festival line-up
TWO peers are to appear at this year’s Henley Literary Festival.
Baroness Lawrence will reflect on her campaigning career since the death of her son Stephen, who was stabbed to death in East London in 1993.
She recently topped the power list on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.
Baroness Trumpington will discuss her journey from working at Bletchley Park during the last war to being made a life peer in 1980.
Other festival names announced this week include wine expert Oz Clarke, adventurer David Hempleman-Adams and former Welsh rugby union player Gareth Thomas, who made headlines in 2009 when he announced he is gay.
