Cracking time at egg hunt

ABOUT 200 children took part in a family Easter egg and treasure hunt in Wargrave.

ABOUT 200 children took part in a family Easter egg and treasure hunt in Wargrave.

They attempted one of three courses set out by Wargrave scouts and each child received an Easter egg upon completion.

Organiser and cub leader John Wheals said: “We set up three courses, one for toddlers, which was just going round the recreation ground, one around the village, which was clue-based and the majority of people did, and an orienteering course that went through Bowsey Woods. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.”

The course round the village was won by Sammy Ball and his team, with Alex Bacon’s team second Harry and Daniel Blades third. First prize in the orienteering course went to Jacob Tubb’s team, with Freddie Gingell’s team second and Elena Ball’s team finishing third.

The winners received camping supplies courtesy of PJ Camping, of Reading.
