Henley RC aiming to build on success

HENLEY Rowing Club has entered two crews in this year’s Henley Royal Regatta.

HENLEY Rowing Club has entered two crews in this year’s Henley Royal Regatta.

Leading the hunt for success is the men’s coxed four racing in the Britannia Challenge Cup.

The experienced crew comprises Will Morgan, Mark Roberts, Jack Thompson, Stan Admiraal and is coxed by Adele Hing.

They will be hoping to build on an already successful season including elite level wins at Reading Amateur Regatta and Nottingham City Regatta.

In the junior quad sculls, the Fawley Cup, Henley are represented by their J17 crew of Alfie Plaskitt, Malcolm Lindsey, Leon Redman and Owen Steele. The crew will be battling it out for a place in the regatta at today’s qualifying races.

A number of other Henley Rowing Club members will be in action competing for their universities.
