A Christmas shopping fair in Shiplake raised more than £1,000 for the village primary school.

There were 21 stalls at the event, which took place at the home of Sarah Blomfield in New Road. Several local businesses were represented, including the Bluebells flower shop in Reading Road, Henley, and home interiors firm Hopscotch, from Stoke Row.

The proceeds will go towards a new table tennis table for the school in Memorial Avenue.

Sharon Hearn, who has organised the annual sale with a committee of five other mothers for the past eight years, said: ?It was a great success.? They are pictured, left to right, Sonia Smith, Karen Harris, Gabbi Roullier, Kate Crook, Sharon Hearn and Louise Goldsmith.
