VOLUNTEERS who filled Sonning Common village hall with handmade Christmas decorations are offering them to other halls, groups or schools.

VOLUNTEERS who filled Sonning Common village hall with handmade Christmas decorations are offering them to other halls, groups or schools.

A group of villagers made a cardboard scroll with the words “Twelve Days of Christmas” and the musical notes from the first line of the song.

They also made decorations inspired by the song, including three French hens complete with berets and striped shirts.

Chrissie Phillips-Tilbury, one of the volunteers, said: “As we already have an idea for our next Christmas project, we would be delighted to give these away in their entirety to a village hall committee, playgroup or school who would like them.”

The decorations are available for free but must be collected today (Friday) or tomorrow. For more information, call Mrs Phillips-Tilbury on 0118 972 1058.
