EastEnders actor set for literary festival

ONE of Albert Square’s best known actors will join a host of leading authors at this year’s Henley Literary Festival, from Monday, September 28 to Sunday, October 4.

Pam St Clement, who graced the nation’s television screens for more than 25 years on EastEnders playing the meddling Pat Evans, will speak about her memoir The End of an Earring.

Audiences can also hear the incredible story behind the fast-selling debut cookbook, Deliciously Ella.

Written by Ella Woodward, the book includes a host of healthy plant and wholefood-based recipes which helped her overcome a rare illness.

Authors David Melling, Greg Jenner, Gill Hornby and the so-called accidental pop star Tracey Thorn will all feature in the Henley 2015 line-up.

Programming director Tom Ryan said: “We are delighted to already have such a great mix of authors, with lots more to be announced in the coming months.”

Tickets go on sale in July. Go to www.henleyliteraryfestival.co.uk for more information.
