Line-up announced for Children?s Literary Festival

THERE will be 50 performances and workshops at this year?s Henley Children?s Literary Festival

THERE will be 50 performances and workshops at this year?s Henley Children?s Literary Festival.

The line-up includes Charlie and Lola creator Lauren Child, Hugless Douglas author-illustrator David Melling and former Children?s Laureate Michael Morpurgo in a special event entitled ?War Horse and Other Animals?.

Local author Rachel Lloyd will discuss Connor the Conker, while young readers will get an insight into the royal household with Aby King?s fictional tale of Lupo, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge?s cocker spaniel.

The festival, part of the Henley Literary Fetsival, runs from September 28 to October 4. Events will take place in Market Place, the Christ Church Centre, the Kenton Theatre and the d:two centre.

Events director Harriet Reed said: ?After such a successful nine years with the adults? festival, we see this as very much the children?s festival time ? there really is something for everyone.?

The children?s festival is supported by the Head Partnership solicitors.
