The Spirit of Christmas carol concert held at Christ Church in Reading Road, Henley raised £4,000 for Muscular

The Spirit of Christmas carol concert held at Christ Church in Reading Road, Henley raised £4,000 for Muscular Dystrophy UK. About 170 people attended the concert, which was organised by Peter O’Sullivan and his son Matthew, who suffers from duchenne muscular dystrophy. Mr O’Sullivan Snr, from Gallowstree Common, said: “This was our seventh annual event and it was the highest attendance and the highest amount raised to date, which is fantastic.” The evening included of carols, readings, music and poetry. Sarah Kinnell played the bagpipes and Bethan Perkins sang and played guitar. The Aliquando Chamber Choir and a children’s choir from St Mary’s School in St Andrews Road, Henley, performed. Mr O’Sullivan said: “The choirs were invited to take part for the first time and both were excellent and a great addition to the concert.”
