School gardeners

HENLEY in Bloom has given £250 grant to Valley Road Primary School.

HENLEY in Bloom has given £250 grant to Valley Road Primary School.

The money will go to the school’s gardening club, which is called Little Green Fingers.

Debbie Haigh, the school’s administrator, said the money would be used on a wildlife pond, planters for the pre-schoool and equipment for the club, such as aprons and gardening gloves.

She said: “[The club] has proved to be a huge success, bringing together people and pupils from across the school and acting as a focal point for all our gardening efforts.”

Last year, Henley in Bloom donated money towards projects at Badgemore and Trinity primary schools.
