THE Look Out Centre in Bracknell is running a new show for children this summer.
The activity centre is keeping the exact details of the party science show under wraps, but it involves visitors learning a collection of simple demonstrations that they can then try out on their friends. All they will say is that the interactive show involves musical bottles, balloon kebabs, paper chains and a birthday cake with a difference.
The new show runs in addition to the usual line-up of 90 interactive hands-on science and nature activities in the centre, from the hot air balloon and challenging puzzles to creating circuits or designing at the Squirtual Reality exhibit.
Also new this year is Build It! which gives children the opportunity to become a member of a construction crew by building an unfinished house
The centre is set in 1,000 hectares of woodland and has an adventure play area as well as a gift shop and coffee shop.
Once the older children are back at school, the Look Out centre is running a number of toddler days for the younger ones. Activities will include art and craft, play dough, face or hand painting and story telling.
Art and craft theme days include pirates and fairies on September 5 and 6, fairy tales on November 5 and 6, and woodland animals on December 5 and 6.
A super saver ticket is £18.75 for two adults and two children or one adult and three children while children three and under are free. There are special parent and toddler rates for term time.
Visit www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/be for details.
There is a £2 parking charge for a 4 hour visit to The Look Out. However, visitors (adult and saver tickets only) to the hands-on science exhibition who pay on the day will be given a £2 discount, (parking stub needs to be shown at time of purchase).
