TICKETS for this year’s Wargrave Festival go on sale tomorrow (Saturday).
They will be available from the scout hut in the recreation ground, off Recreation Road, from 9am to noon.
The theme of the festival is “Mad Hatters of Wargrave” so ticket sellers will be wearing colourful headgear.
Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis, with popular events such as the boat trip, dance ball and a performance from villager and magician Paul Daniels expected to sell out quickly.
In previous years locals have queued for tickets from as early as 4am.
The biannual festival, which was founded in 1975, will see 41 events take place over two weeks in June.
It will open with a production of Macbeth by the Wargrave Theatre Workshop on Wednesday, June 10.
The Strictly Come Dancing competition will return on June 20 following the success of the 2013 contest.
