A VISIONARY artist is flying in from Atlanta to launch his latest collection of work at the Lemongrove Gallery in Duke Street, Henley, this weekend.

Craig Alan’s approach was inspired by photographs he took from the sixth-floor balcony of an apartment in Alabama, observing the shifting shapes in the crowds below. In one shot, a group of people appeared to have formed the shape of an eye. He will be at the gallery from 7pm on Saturday. To book a place, call (01491) 577215.

• Reading Guild of Artists’ 86th annual exhibition runs at the Old Fire Station Gallery for eight days from Saturday (March 19).
