HENLEY Art and Crafts Guild has announced details of its spring exhibition at the Old Fire
HENLEY Art and Crafts Guild has announced details of its spring exhibition at the Old Fire Station Gallery, which opens next Friday (April 22).
An open view to which all art lovers are welcome is being held from 6pm to 8pm at the gallery in Upper Market Place.
The occasion will also double as the curtain-raiser for this year’s Henley Arts Trail, which gets under way a week later and is open to the public from Saturday, April 30, to Monday, May 2.
Film, television and radio actor Simon Williams, who found fame in Upstairs, Downstairs and has recently featured in The Archers, will be on hand to formally declare the spring exhibition — and the arts trail — open.
The guild, which currently has around 160 members drawn from Henley and the surrounding area, has been running since 1955.
Its members were instrumental in establishing and running the arts trail, which is now in its 11th year and this year features 25 numbered venues.
Venue number one is of course the Old Fire Station Gallery, where paintings, prints, sculptures and more will be on display.
