Mindfulness course is all about living life to the full

Mindfulness course is all about living life to the full

MINDFULNESS is simply about being in touch with what is going on both inside and outside of your body and mind.

It’s an awareness of your thoughts and feelings as they happen, moment to moment.

It’s about allowing yourself to see the present clearly.

The benefits include improving the immune system, help with anxiety and self-doubt, lowering stress levels — and many studies have shown that mindfulness can also help with depression.

Mary Niker has trained with and is a member of the Mindfulness Association and is also a facilitator of the Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC).

The 16-hour courses run for eight weeks at a time, with two starting later this month.

The first, at the Yoga Tree in Watlington, starts on Wednesday (January 18), at 9.45am. Then on Tuesday, January 24, St Katherine’s in Parmoor is the venue for a lunchtime course starting at 12.30pm.

St Katherine’s is also the venue for an MBLC on Saturday, March 25, and Saturday, April 29, starting at 8.30am on each day.
