YOGA translates as “union” referring to the entwining of the mind, body and spirit. It is a science and a philosophy dating back 3,500 years.

The continued practice of yoga brings long-term rewards. The body gains strength, becomes more flexible and shape is more defined. By synchronising the movement of the body and the breath, yoga allows the individual to become calmer, more focused and energised.

Henley Yoga Studio is an oasis of peace, located in the heart of Henley, with space for up to six students, allowing the experience to feel both intimate and relaxed. Classes cater for all ages and ranges of ability and different styles of yoga are taught — gentle yoga is good for beginners, whilst power yoga has a more athletic approach. Restorative yoga is very healing, using supported postures with Thai massage. Many “flow” classes are offered including classical Hatha style and the more dynamic Vinyasa flow. Prana yoga incorporates elements of chi gong and t’ai chi.

Classes run from morning to evening. Private sessions are also available. The studio will also schedule Saturday afternoon workshops, along with lectures on anatomy and psychology.
