Salsa for fitness and for fun

WHETHER you are 20 or 60, single or married, dancing Salsa is a great way to keep fit and extend your social circle.

The appeal of Salsa is due to the fluidity of the movement, the less formal approach to dance and the fact that it draws on the party elements of all Latin dances.

The level of fitness delivered is surprisingly high. It helps improve muscle strength, toning, stamina and weight loss. Once you’ve been bitten by the Salsa bug you will spend several nights a week dancing!

You will also meet people from a complete range of backgrounds, cultures and ages, all enjoying the experience of dance. Drinking copious amounts of water is a must.

The lead teacher of Salsa at Harleyford is Norman Bhargava, who has danced since the age of eight when he was encouraged to learn tap dancing. He has danced Salsa for nearly 20 years and has been a member of dance teams performing in the USA and Europe.
