Healing power of Chinese massage

MORE than 2,000 years ago the ancient Chinese already demonstrated knowledge of a highly sophisticated system of medicine. While Western medicine is now very much accepted in China, traditional Chinese medicine is still the most common form of treatment used.

Acupuncture is the practice of inserting thin needles into specific points on the body. The ancient Chinese healing arts reflect a holistic understanding of the human being, considering the relationship between the mind, body and the environment. A treatment does not therefore focus on specific individual symptoms but rather seeks to restore the body to a state of internal balance so that the symptoms no longer persist.

Traditional Chinese massage or Tui Na is used both to treat specific injuries and for general healthcare. Most of us tend to carry around excessive physical and mental tension. Tui Na’s deep tissue techniques are highly efficient at working with and releasing deeply-stored tension throughout the body to leave the body feeling light, rejuvenated and stress-free.

You do not have to have a specific injury or complaint to receive acupuncture or massage. Treatments can prevent the onset of illness by strengthening the immune system, maintaining proper organ function, increasing energy levels, nourishing the tissues and invigorating the mind and body.
