Dancing has so many benefits

WOULD your child like to learn to dance?

WOULD your child like to learn to dance?

Dancing has many benefits. Apart from exercise, it helps build a child’s self-confidence and co-ordination while having fun!

This is a small, independent school taken over in 2002 and run by its principal, Miss Alison-Jayne Simmons.

Classes are held weekly during term time at the Christ Church Centre in Reading Road, Henley, and at Sonning Common Primary School.

We follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus for ballet, tap and modern theatre dance. Examinations are held every year, or whenever pupils are ready, depending on the grade and complexity of the examination.

We also put on a dancing show at the Kenton Theatre, Henley, on alternate years — the last one being in May this year, the music for which was chosen by the students themselves. It oozed family fun and gave our young performers the opportunity to grace the stage and show off their skills.

Classes are offered from the age of two to three years to senior level. The new term commences on Monday, September 12. To register your interest and arrange a free introductory lesson, please contact Miss Alison-Jayne Simmons by email at ajdance.uk@gmail.com, by calling 0118 979 0683 — or via the school’s website at www.alison-jayne.dance
