All ages can do pilates

PILATES ABC Henley is owned by pilates enthusiast Alyth Yealland.

PILATES ABC Henley is owned by pilates enthusiast Alyth Yealland.

Alyth took up pilates to help her back pain and, thrilled with her own success, went on to train to teach.

Alyth teaches gentle balance exercise to help improve everyday posture, flexibility, muscle tone, joint and back pain.

“I’m really proud of my clients’ achievements,” says Alyth.

“It’s wonderful to watch clients’ posture and flexibility improve, how relaxed clients become by the end of a session.

“I am also seeing an increase in clients over 70. The beauty of pilates is it can be taken up by all ages with equal effectiveness.”

Movements are choreographed to suit the individual, adapting or offering alternatives dependent on a client’s needs.

Beginners are always welcome and a free taster class is available to newcomers.

Alyth teaches pilates for  all levels. She also teaches pilates for hip and knee replacements, arthritis, breathing, falls prevention, Parkinson’s and osteopaenia/osteoporosis.

Pilates ABC Henley offers classes for the community in Henley, Crazies Hill, Hurley, Knowl Hill and Sonning Common.

Alyth’s newest class is Pilates for Parkinson’s.

She can be contacted on 07521 699265, by email at alyth@pilatesabc.co.uk, or see www.pilatesabc.co.uk
