Chefs at Sunrise Senior Living of Sonning are being put to the taste test, as the community hosts a delicious and educational menu-tasting afternoon.
On Thursday, March 19 from 3pm until 5pm, friends and relatives of residents, along with friends and business contacts in the local area, are invited to an afternoon showcasing the culinary delights on offer at Sunrise of Sonning.
Chefs will cook a variety of starters, mains and puddings all created using fresh ingredients and designed to meet the nutritional needs of older people.
Chefs will also provide examples of dishes suitable for residents with dysphagia, demonstrating how specialised food can be made appealing and appetising.
Those attending will be given the chance to sample the new Sunrise smoothies. These specially created smoothies, alongside a new range of Sunrise soups, are part of Sunrise's ongoing effort towards providing the most nutritious food alongside the highest quality dining service.
During the afternoon, guests will be able to talk to our talented dining team about the dishes and hear tips on how to manage meals for those with dysphagia needs.
The event is part of 'Taste of Sunrise', a national campaign which will see Sunrise communities across the country celebrating the importance of nutritious food for older people during Nutrition and Hydration Week.
