Wargrave thrash struggling United

GORING UNITED have been dragged into the Division 1 relegation battle following their 4-2 defeat away to fellow strugglers WESTWOOD UNITED RESERVES.

Goring took the lead on four minutes through Patrick Dyer. Westwood equalised after 20 minutes before Lee Allen restored the visitors’ advantage 10 minutes before half-time.

In the second half the hosts struck three times without reply as they secured all three points.

In Division 2, hosts WOODCOTE/STOKE ROW RESERVES, who had no substitutes for the match, went down 4-1 at home to TWYFORD AND RUSCOMBE.

The visitors took the lead on the half-hour mark when a long ball eluded home keeper Matt Trimmings and a striker was on-hand to convert.
