Symons shines on Hotspurs debut

AFC HENLEY HURRICANES U11s returned to East Berks League action on Saturday with a 4-0 win against LAUREL PARK U11s at Jubilee Park.

The home team spent most of the first quarter camped in the Laurel Park half before Archie Barker followed up well to slot home when the visiting keeper couldn’t hold a cross.

The second quarter saw more sustained Henley pressure but the hosts could not add to their lead despite good build-up play in midfield from man-of-the-match Adam Palmer and the Hudson twins.

In the third quarter Laurel Park started to create chances and only a reflex save from Luke Taylor and the woodwork prevented an equaliser.

Henley doubled their advantage early in the fourth quarter with Jamie Hudson reacting quickest following a save from a Jem McAllister shot.
