HAMBLEDEN got their Wycombe and District League Senior Division campaign back on track following three successive defeats by winning 3-1 at FC Titans.
On four minutes Paul Reading flashed a shot wide after Dean Kemp had returned Adam North’s cross and Ryan Kemp headed over when found by a North corner.
After eight minutes Titans drew first blood with their first strike on goal. Duane Brian failed to deal with the ball when put under pressure and Markwell was caught out of position allowing a Titans player to skip towards goal. As Chris Brunning and the retreating Brian came to challenge the Titans player entered the penalty area before squaring the ball to a team mate who shot past Ross Hathaway in the Hambleden goal.
The goal made Hambleden unsettled and Titans advanced shortly after the restart. Brian and Ryan Kemp had to be alert with a ball bouncing around the edge of the area after it had been cut back from the byline and Hathaway had safe hands dealing with another delivery.
North worked hard down the Hambleden left and combined well with Macllenan to go close from eight yards out. Macllenan was finding space and delivered an inviting ball after North again had played him through, Reading just failing to get enough direction on his strike.
